Version 3.2: New Band support
One of the most requested features for BandFriend has been to not only find individual musicians, but to find bands that are actively looking for new band members. Version 3.2 introduces this feature now for both iOS and Android. But we have been busy the last couple of months and implemented something that goes beyond this feature.
Band History
You can add now the bands you are or have been playing in to your individual musicians profile. There is no limit on how many bands or projects you can list here, so add away. BandFriend users who will look at your profile will now see a new section with the bands you’ve added. Adding bands to your band history is great if you just want to add a minimum of information about your bands.
Band Profiles
Any BandFriend user can create band profiles of the bands they are or have been active in. You can list lots of information about the band, provide links to SoundCloud, YouTube, ReverbNation, BandCamp, Facebook, Twitter and your official band website and much more. Is your band looking for a new lead guitar player, a mandolin player, a songwriter? No problem, you can now easily set up all that and make the profile discoverable to others.
Band Members
Band Profiles further provide a way to list all your band members and if they are on BandFriend, link them to your band profile. This way you can easily engage in conversations with other musicians.
Search
What would band profiles be worth without means to discover them? You can now find bands closeby either by searching for a particular music style or you can search for bands that are looking to add a band member with a particular skill. Last but not least, you can also lookup bands at a certain location.
We hope you’ll like the new additions and would love to hear your feedback at support@bandfriendapp.com.
Cheers,
Your BandFriend Team!
