musicr is now BandFriend
Hello there,
We are making big changes to musicr. The next release 1.1 is on its way to Apple and we changed the apps name to BandFriend. We still think musicr was a cool name, however there were some huge discovery issues on the AppStore with that app name. If you typed musicr and hit enter, you pretty much would never even see the app in the list. That is because Apple’s App Store search algorithm would first show all the apps that either have music in its title or music as a keyword. Unfortunately that led to musicr showing up very late in the search results. We expect BandFriend to hit the AppStore some time next week. Everyone that already has the previous musicr app installed, should get BandFriend automatically with that update.
Version 1.1 also brings you sweet SoundCloud support. You can now specify your SoundCloud username in BandFriends settings and everyone that visits your profile can listen to your public SoundCloud tracks from within BandFriend. You can also specify a SoundCloud tag that you can apply to your tracks to further limit the tracks that other users can see.
Rock on!
Your musicr BandFriend Team!
